Antique MERIDEN B. SQUARE Quad Silver PICKLE CASTOR Frame CRANBERRY ivt JAR

This is a lovely Victorian PICKLE CASTOR from the MERIDEN B. It has a Square shaped platform supported on 4 footed ball feet, side loops with ball feet hold the jar ring and a ring topped handle with floral & ball decorations at the sides finishes the frame. There are hooks on each side - one for tongs and another for a pickle fork (included). Circa 1890's The Jar or insert is a sparkling piece of antique Cranberry art glass in a Baby Inverted Thumbprint pattern with nearly straigh sides. Marked : in the first circle - MERIDEN B. Around scales, second circle - QUADRUPLE PLATE, underneath - 250 / U. A Measurements : FRAME - 10" tall, base - 4.75" x 4", jar holder 3.5" wide. JAR - 4.25" tall, 3.25" wide top, 3.125 wide bottom. TONGS - 6.25 long.
